Jobs @ NHN
The National Hockey Now network is seeking the next generation of great hockey writers. We’re looking for experienced journalists, bloggers, and digital content creators who can engage an audience, talk hockey, know their team, and deliver consistent and clean content with minimal supervision.
If you’re ready to step up from a blog, small paper, or if your newspaper encounters trouble, we might be a good match. All of our writers can own their own podcast, YouTube channel, and other third-party deals to enhance their income further.
If you think the job ends at reporting, we’re not a good match. Our best writers are reporters, columnists, and analysts, with some digital content creation, too.
All of our writers are credentialed, so handling yourself in a professional atmosphere and a locker room is an absolute. No jerseys, eh? If this is you, come join our burgeoning hockey community and work alongside some of the best and brightest in the industry.
Job Openings
Not everyone succeeds, but we reward people with an enormous share of the revenue. The starting “salary” is a per-article payment and a majority share of revenues. Full-time salary is possible as the situation warrants.
We want the basics: reporting, news, and post-games. But successful journalists also know how to opine, engage, and analyze.
